Erin is a highly qualified group exercise instructor with over 10 years experience in the health & fitness industry. She has taught group exercise to a wide audience of people from the very young to the older adult & everyone in between. Erin’s  down to earth personality  ensures you relax & have fun at her sessions.

My Story…..

I started off teaching dance for my dance teacher whilst I was at secondary school as a hobby. I completed my BATD Dance Teacher Training Certificates through the Lynn C Duncan School of Dance & loved learning about the different styles of dance, Tap being my favourite. At University I was studying a Degree Honours in Immunology & Microbiology as I thought this was the career I wanted to follow. I lasted 6 months in a Laboratory & realised this was not the career path for me. I decided to do my YMCA Studio Instructor Award Course &  loved the training. I then went on to teach all various styles of exercise including Body Attack , Zumba & Metafit. I often suffered from Instructor Burn Out & quickly realised that I couldn’t continue working the way I was as I was teaching around 15-23 high impact classes every week all around Glasgow.  I was stressed out & fed up when I started some yoga & relaxation classes in my local health & fitness centre. I found myself feeling much more relaxed and I was sleeping better as my mind less busy with frantic thoughts. I was curious to find out more so I asked the Yoga teacher & she advised me of some yoga teacher training courses that were coming up in Glasgow. I completed my first 200 hour Seasonal Yoga Teacher Training course in November 2011 with Julie Hanson , Sue Wood & Marit at the Seasonal Yoga Academy & continue to study with them to this day gaining my 500 hour Teaching Certificate & Advanced Seasonal Yoga Masters Certificate.  Yoga has greatly helped me on so many levels & it’s given me the tools & knowledge to help me navigate this rollercoaster of life easier.  I love working with the energies of the seasons & sharing all of  the benefits of  Yoga with my class participants.

As a first time mum I understand how hard it can be to fit in exercise around your little one so I set up Buggybeat Outdoor Fitness in my local area where you can exercise in the fresh air with your baby or toddler. At the moment these classes are on hold due to the current restrictions. As soon as we are able to I will be running these classes again outside.
